I often find myself thinking: what is hidden behind the faces I see daily? If I should ask “who are you really”, what would the answer be? Do you even know? How is your identity defined? What problems or situations are you facing?
Some time ago I read this piece of wisdom, by Sir Winston Churchill: “Truth is so valuable it’s often protected by a bodyguard of lies”. Truth and Lie do the staring match daily in some shape or form within our immediate space and many times we suffocate in the bodyguard of lies, as truth is guarded so well.
Sometimes we even shut truth up… what if you may be exposed for being someone else than people thought? Not that strong, not that powerful, maybe suffering in silence because of some issue, perceptions of what people may think if you dare be vulnerable.
Lies. They whisper cunningly, in such a way that it may sound truthful. They play the guilt card and spin a web of insecurities. My mind goes back and forth between conversations of the past weeks, individuals yelling silently to be heard or seen but nobody seems to notice – because truth is guarded.
Yet again I realize: Truth equals light. Lie equals deception. The latter is not from the Hand that created us. Truth may be guarded because of its power and the future it holds for me and you. Truth always wins, always exposes and always releases freedom. Lie clutters our minds, hurts our perceptions and infuses pain.
Stop keeping up appearances – who and what for?
Start releasing truth form behind your web of grey, clearing from within. Move forward. Leave behind what needs to be left.
We have only today to keep. Forget about appearance. Transparency is real. Real has value.
