When I was a teenager my grandmother once said: “my girlie, sometimes some things are better left untold. Life has a way of sorting itself out”. I’ve remembered it ever since
. A couple of years ago I read the following words somewhere: “Wisdom has two parts: having something to say – not saying it”.
Both of these compact sayings have been archived in my mind as truth to hold on to. Life has a way of presenting itself to you. Some days are more complicated than others. Some are tuned in to a frequency of calm. Then there are those that just seem to softly blow upon the silent hope you may have, creating a bit of a vibrance.
And then you need to be still. Allow the vibrant ripples to fade, let the hope you cling to stay intact. Be who you have to be amongst those you love. Calm seas has never made a skillful sailor.
Keep your hands open to Grace that is deposited in every day. It fuels your soul to keep going.
