Like me, share me, follow me, hire me, watch me, pin me… Various actions pertaining to social media in our personal space today. The tendency to live in a constant race of exposure and being informed. For many it may mean acceptance.
In my daily environment I am part of the virtual circles and wireless culture. The importance of being connected breathing heavily in my neck. At times I am wowed by the wonder of technology, the power of platforms that create vast opportunities of being heard and seen. But many times I experience a disconnect from all the connections.
A disconnect from reality and the present.
I recently heard someone say that we tend to miss the now moments. We tweet, post and selfie just about everywhere and within every space we enter. The experience of our being present hanging on a thread. Multitasking seems to have become a virtue.
He also said the problem with technology in essence, may be within our own hearts. I ponder on this. “Guard your heart for out of it flows the springs of life”.
I believe it is not how we stand within all of our connectedness; it is how we choose to move. Balance. Offline moments. Realtime connections.
You can not multitask presence.
